The Reaper & The Flowers

There is a Reaper, whose name is Death,
And, with his sickle keen,
He reaps the bearded grain at a breath,
And the flowers that grow between.

"Shall I have naught that is fair?" saith he;
"Have naught but the bearded grain?"
Though the breath of these flowers is sweet to me,
I will give them all back again.

"He gazed at the flowers with tearful eyes",
He kissed their drooping leaves;
It was for the Lord of Paradise
He bound them in his sheaves.

"My Lord has need of these flowerets gay",
The Reaper said, and smiled;
"Dear tokens of the earth are they,
Where he was once a child."

"They shall all bloom in fields of light,
Transplanted by my care,And saints,
upon their garments white,
These sacred blossoms wear".

And the mother gave, in tears and pain,
The flowers she most did love;
She knew she should find them all again
In the fields of light above.

O, not in cruelty, not in wrath,
The Reaper came that day;
'T was an angel visited the green earth,
And took the flowers away.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow ( 1807-1882 )

Dare To Take The Test?

Dr. Phil McGraw made such an impression in a lawsuit for the host of The Oprah Winfrey Show that he was invited to appear on the show. Famed as an accurate pychologist followed after that and it was not long that a show hosted by Phil was born.
Below is a test which is claimed to be prepared by the above mentioned individual ( I cannot guarantee the authencity of it ), please feel free to take it........

THE PERSONALITY TEST as claimed...have fun!!

Note: The Author is not liable for any interpretation or mis-interpetration in regards to the test. Take it at your own risks...muuuahahahahahahaaha

Mine

2 every1 his/her OWN..........................

Its been a while since the creation of this blog and I am very happy to note that it has served its purpose thus far....the purpose of conveying my thoughts and feelings to writing as well to double up as a record for my experiences, travels and what nots.

I must say that it has also evoke some notable comments and advice from the readers...some positively effected and some negative BUT to me its 2 every1 his/her OWN........................

Meaning which, everyone is entitled to his or her thoughts, feelings, actions, attitudes, mannerisms, etc. To put it a a simple way its "no views or comments are wrong neither are they in the right"...therefore all are welcomed to pen their veiws ( if any ) on what is posted.

Every author has their own way of delivering / penning their thoughts on issues or matters as they see it...what is written may not be what is perceived by the readers.

As such, please do not take offence as to what is posted as it is not the intention of the author to resemble any individuals/events unless specifically mentioned.

Actions or events are happenings but thoughts are what they are...just thoughts.

"I have "thought" of having sex with lots of female movie stars" does that mean I have committed the action? It remains as a thought that I have in my mind unless carried out right?

The same applies to some of my posting..read them with an open mind as to what is penned. If keeping an open mind is deemed hard to accomplish then its fine to take your leave by all means because this blog remains 2 every1 his/her OWN...................................

Permanent + Temporary = Selfishness???

Sometimes things are just so simple in nature that most of us tend to trip up on it....

Take for example, a simple understanding of a certain situation of PRIORITY....its a simple and COMMON word that needs no fucking explaination right?

PRIORITY as defined in the most simplest of simplest dictionary terms it as:

PRECEDENCE : status established in the order of IMPORTANCE or URGENCY

FUCKING SIMPLE right? any hidden meanings? any ambigious shit here? NOTHING right?

BUT why the fuck some people who are supposed to be working as a team CANNOT COMPREHEND THE WORD? somebody please take a gun and shoot me lar...makafahai!!!!!!

Another simple word, PERMANENT as define in the simplest of simplest dictionary means:

Continuing OR Enduring without marked change in status OR condition OR PLACE...fucking simple right?

By the definition of PERMANENT we can therfore define that TEMPORARY is an exact OPPOSITE to PERMANENT...am I fucking right or wrong? So fucking simple right?

If its that simple then why the fuck are there STILL questions on PRIORITY, PERMANENT and TEMPORARY? WHY THE FLYING FUCK!!!!!!!

Below are SOME SIMPLE sentences constructed using the 3 fucking SIMPLE words:

"Our main PRIORITY is to complete ALL tasks at hand within the given/stipulated timeframe. Therefore it is imperative that PERMANENT staffs takes PRIORITY/PRECEDENCE over TEMPORARY staffs who are there to only assist when the fucking need arise. It can be concluded that PERMANENT staffs, who are always our frontliners take PRECEDENCE over the rest who are TEMPORARY in status. THERE"fucking"FORE", it is for the COMMON GOOD OF ALL that TEMPORARY staffs whose fucking visit are about to END, MAKE ACCOMODATIONS for NEW and TEMPORARY STAFFS who are assigned to assist in meeting the COMMON GOAL/OBJECTIVES."

BTW, do I have to elaborate on the words GOALS and OBJECTIVES? I sure fucking hope not because I am seriously not in the fucking mood to play word games after the selfish and irresponsible acts by certain individuals that might/will jeopardize the performance of the whole fucking team.

Having fun and relaxing is ok IF time permits

BUT

Work is work and when work is compromised for self indulgence, that is where I draw the line...so help me God

AND

there is no fucking compromise that can be made when everything is so fucking delayed.

Please accept my sincerest apologies for this long winded post...I feel the need to release some pent up frustration. I know that everyone is trying their best to get things done BUT we need more than "the best" from now on. It is with my sincerest hope that we act like adults and have more responsibility towards the achievement of our COMMON GOAL...

SiCKO

Just finished watching Micheal Moore's SiCKO on Star World......

It's a so called documentary on health insurance and comparision of medical treatment provided by the US of A compared with some countries.

For me, THIS IS A MUST WATCH SHOW as is Farenheit 9/11 and Bowling for Columbine ( Academy Award Winner for Best Documentary year 2003 ). Imagine an inhaler thats selling for USD 120 is selling for USD 0.05 in Cuba...now take Bolehland's cost for medication and medicine and Google it against Cuba's ( name taken for reference only ).

Micheal has taken many bashing thru the years for the above mentioned documentaries but I respect the fella for staying focused on revealing the truth even if its not admitted by certain quarters. My advise is, have a watch at Micheal's SiCKO...it will start you thinking about the medical "treatment" and its cost in our beloved BOLEHLAND.

Review and bashing links on Micheal Moore and his film are as below:

1) USA TODAY
2) THE TIMES -Mike Scott ( most recommended )
3) The Biggest Micheal Moore Website

Please do not misunderstand what I am trying to say...I am not saying that Micheal is correct nor is he in the wrong. This post is just for readers in Malaysia to know what is happening in other countries and to make a fair comparision if we are travelling on the same track.

Please understand for a fact that BolehLand's medical fees are NOT cheap and nor are they FREE. A lot of people I know are personally going thru hell and paying from their arse for medical fees.....AND I feel that most of them if not ALL deserve what the French and Cubans receive from their Government...FREE MEDICAL TREAMENT!!!!!!!!

It easy for the rich to say "Whats the fuss" but how about the poor?

Again, please understand that this post is not about supporting Micheal Moore or anything towards that regards. IT IS A POST FOR THE POPULATION IN MY COUNTRY to evaluate OR re-evaluate our current position...are we SOHAIS or not?

For the records, LINK NUMBER 2 is a must read on SiCKO if any of you missed the chance or are too tied up to find time to watch the documentary. Would appreciate if the BolehLand readers of my blog take 10 minutes of their time to read the review OR watch the documentary before leaving a comment on this post.

I for one, am DAMN FUCKING PISSED at how much we have to fucking pay for medical cost nowadays...maybe I am a Sohai and I am not rich..so what? I have the right to voice my dissactisfaction even if it ruffles a few feathers of my "GREAT NATION"

After watching the documentary, my thoughts for the powers that rule this nation is....WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU GUYS DOING OR TRYING TO DO? STOOOOPID MORONS!!! KNNCCB!!!!!!

Penang, Oct 2008

Was in Penang for a working trip on the 28th f this month. Came back the next day...freaking poofed I tell you...KNN!!

The ISO Audit exercise went well albeit some minor hitches but this post is not about my freaking boring work...its about the Penang that I grew up in and the Penang that I love.

Managed to meet up with my cousins at the Chillout Terrace at Gurney Hotel ( I think I got the name correct ). Thanks for coming at such a short notice Pam, Mandy, Johnathan and Magnus. Chit chatted with them for a while catching up on old times and also on our current status. Throughout the night, I was very pleased to note that my colleague, Ngu got on very well with them.

From the CHillout Terrace we later adjourned to a beautiful and tastefully decorated KTV owned by my Auntie Maggie. Happy to see that she is doing very well on her own....for that, I salute you.

Finished the night by having Nasi Kandat at Fettes Park with Ngu before turning in at 3.00am..gawd!!

Below are some pics I took of my beloved Penang during my limited time there....

AND

Who was it that told me Penang is a boring place? was it Sam?

Btw Sam, Paurene sends her regards...she said to tell you that she misses your cute bunny looks and curly hair....and to call on her whenever you are free..

Dalian, China

Been here since the 16th Oct and will be here until the 25th.....some might ask for what?

For the Factory Acceptance ( FAT ) Test of the Putrajaya International Convention Center ( PICC ) Project's Direct Fired Chiller.

Country : China
Area: Dalian
Location: Sanyo Factory
Temp: cold"ish"

My mission here is to make sure that the FAT pass and my function here is of a dual type......work and CEO..

Spent last Saturday and Sunday "guiding" my esteemed clients for a walk-walk around Dalian area. Took them to a famous shopping area in town for some grab-as-u-go-super-dirt-cheap type bargains and ended up spending the whole day there as their translator..KNNCCB!!! I seldom speak mandarin in Malaysia and to my friends, therefore its not a surprise Wifey will always laugh her head off whenever I try to act goofy and start speaking mandarin with her....

KNN..translator? lucky me that my mandarin can "cari makan" or sure will trip myself up kaukau.

Thank God that Sanyo provided a factory bus and a translator to help me out during Sunday's excursion or I will warded with acute lock jaw syndrome.

Below are some photographs I took of the FAT with my landfill cam ( didn't take my DSLR with me ) for a feel of my work..

Sad to say that I didn't have the chance for some shots on Saturday as I was pretty bogged down with the translating bit for my clients..but Sunday was a different story alltogether. I had some time to myself to browse and take some pics of my own. Below is a place in Dalian where people come from all across Dalian and China for a visit. Managed to take some overview shots of the place...wished that I brought my DSLR for the wide angle lens to work its wonders. Neways, enjoy the photos ( a few only )....

And here's a photo of me with my principle's translator..Miss Yeo

And one more

Thats all folks...

Hopefully will get an "PASSED" status for my Factory Acceptance Test cos I really worked my butt off to make the clients happy and dopey....really, its true!!

Me a Photog?

Been a while since I seriously immensed myself into photography...t'was so long until I can't remember how long...well to give fellow photogs out there an indication of time, it was from the days of the Canon AE-1....thats how long ago.

I have a few colleagues that are avid and good photographers but sadly like me, they do not have the time to really indulge in their favourite pastime...mostly its because of work commitments and all that jazz.

I sometimes feel sheepish when they ask me question on photography....modern type of questions relating to DSLRs...

"What is CCD", "What is CMOS", "What is Full frame" , "Why the bokeh", etc...

Please do not get me wrong, their questions are good questions....so good that sometimes an old man like me is struggling to provide an answer. Must admit that I am ok to most types of questions but there is one that I make a point to stay away from....its "Which brand of camera is better?". Personally for me, any brand is a good brand....there is no "best of the best" brand out there.

Every camera company is a Legend in their own right with their own pros and admittingly, their own cons as well. A note to future photogs, do your own research before an intended purchase as to eliminate any future niggling doubts...choose well and choose wisely.

Personally, most of the answer can be sourced from the net but its also quite fun to sit in a group and talk cams instead of girls...ah well, maybe talk cams AND girls. For the record, I own a Nikon D80 DSLR and some 3rd party lens...nothing fancy, nothing bad, nothing good.

I like to take photographs of people, potraitures, sceneries, macros ( no time for this one now ), places and such. For me, candid shots are once in a lifetime opportunity for rememberance that requires one to sometime go on the "draw and shoot" technique...no time for manual and whatchamacalit adjustments....just take, bang the cam into auto mode, point and shoot!!! you either get it or you don't..no two ways about it.. AND thats what I like most about these type of photography as opposed to "staged" type.

Maybe I will try delving into different forms of picture taking if time and my brain cells permits...B&Ws, Artistic, etc

Btw, for those that wants to know more or take the plunge into photography, click here for a site that has loads of tips, tricks and advice for new/seasoned photogs. With that said, please be informed that this site has no relavance whatsoever to my personal preference...it is just a site amongst the countless many on the web.

As the title of my site goes, its 2 every1 his/her OWN.....................

Note: I am a lousy photographer and my skill sucks big time

Sunway Lagoon

Took my kids to Sunway Lagoon ( so called Malaysia's Premier Waterpark ) last Sunday for some fun in the sun activities and boy, did they have fun.....

Isaac and Ivan did not get much sleep the day before because they were locked in hyper mood....so it was not a surprise that they woke me up at 6.00am telling me to brush my teeth and get ready to leave just in case we are late...late? at 6am? hahahahaha...such was their enthusiasm.

Arrived the Lagoon at 9.50am, paid Rm300+ ( 4 adults + 2 kids ) for the admission plus RM60 towards the deposit of the watch type band thingies that each of us had.

Proceeded to the Water Slides before moving onto the Wave Pool. It was not before long that Isaac was pestering me to take him to the G Force X ride ( by AJ Hackett ) that was the newest attraction at the Lagoon. It cost RM50 per pax for foreigners but one will get a 50% discount if you show your MyKad....I ended up spending RM65 because my son ( Isaac ) went twice ( RM 50 ) and the remainder was for a DVD of his ride. Wifey was screaming like a mad loon from the moment Isaac was shot into the blue...boing,boinging for about a minute or so before he was lowered down...kekekekekeke. Me? I stayed as far away as possible loh...getting too old for this type of 5Gs thingy that accelerates from 0 to 120 km/h in 2 seconds...

Next on the agenda was lunch before proceeding to the pools for another round of swimming. We ended the day by going on the rides at the Theme Park section.

I am glad to see my family enjoying themselves so much...thats the least I can do before going off to Bahrain for my project stint there...sheeeesh! Will miss them so much but work is work...maybe will go to another less demanding scope upon the completion of this project...who knows huh?

Neways, apart from the photos of "fun in the sun" that I took of my family, there are also some special pics below titled "Beautiful People"...please bear with me on the quality of some of the pics because most of them were "quick draw and shoot" type of shots...view and enjoy..

The "Best Of The Best" pic I took was of this NINJA I spotted sitting alone trying its best to blend in with the environment ( see if u can spot the ninja aka chameleon ).....WAAAKAKAKAKKAKA

Drafted!!

That is an ORDER!!! was what got me drafted back into active service....

Aiyaaa...was contemplating to enlist myself in another alltogether "alien" but "can be done" field of service but the "that is an order" thingy got me shoved back into front line action amidst some futile protest on my side...sheeeshh!!

I must however thank a good brother of mine for advising me to "listen first" and to "capitalise on the opportunity".....thanks man but it feels so damn bad to make this decision after discussing so much with you...shit!! for that, please accept my sincerest apologies....hope you will allow my enlistment after the end of this particular "Tour Of Duty" cos I am seriously dead tired oledi.

BUT

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the unselfish advice on your part....for that I salute you.

The objective this time is not at all fun....I consider it a super stress ala microwave ala time bomb type of enviroment..no wonder the "Generals" made an about turn and told me to assist the chosen Major "Domo" General in this particular mother of all battles...

Anyway, my hearfelt thanks to all the people who has shown their faith and trust in me, I will try my best not to get KIA and obtain the desired results. At least, I have the knowledge of having a good team alongside me in this so called Battle For Midway...BAAAAAANZZZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII.....DIE OSO DIE LAAAAAAARRRRRRRRR!!!!!! but seriously, I think it can be done lar...not that difficult loh..

One sentence to sum everything up: I really relish the challenge and I will try my best not to fall flat on my face

Malaysia vs The Whole World

Receive the below piece from an email sent by a buddy of mine ( thanks Lum ) which shows how freaking "modernized" is BolehLand's grasp of English as a language.....KNNCCB, we certainly have come a long, long, long way since the colonial days....

Bahrain

Been here since the 23rd Sept...with NO BLARDIE internet!!! the "net was finally enabled today, hence my first post since the date of my departure from BolehLand.

On the whole, the country here is much better than Dubai or Abu Dhabi...the people here are friendler, more helpful and courteous...

Even the Dalkia Bahrain staffs are better in the sense that they show a common interest to complete the task at hand..not like in another of our Mid East Project. With that said, I am very confident that our people here will not be having a tough time executing what is needed of them.

BAHRAIN....

-Weather is a tad on the hot, warm and burning side
-I would give them a thumbs up
-Basic amenities adequate
-Net service like shit!!
-Satelite TV GREAT!!!! ( even can receive adult channels...just require a bit of receiver hacking....which was done oledi on our unit..kekekekekkeeke )
-Food...expensive
-Tourism..not much to see
-Cars...damn kaukau cun cars...will buy a Ford Mustang GT if I am permanently based here...lucky I am not..
-Superbikes...cheaper than in BolehLand
-Girls....mostly Ninjas but one can get some good glimpse of some Lebanese and Syirian beauties at the local Malls
-Exchange rate against RM is foooooooking horrendous...at RM10 to Bahrain Dinar 1..HVUCK!!!
-Working hours during the Ramadhan is 8.00am to 2.00pm only...imagine that!!

Didn't take any good pictures because I did not bring my DSLR but brought my landfill cam instead. Took soem general pictures and some at the F1 track....which I will post once back in BolehLand.

Well, my best wishes to all that will be posted here with the assurance of my support whenever u guys/gals need it.

Neways, will pen off for now....still got plenty of emails to read and reply ( 237 in all )..

Smart OR Hard??

Many a times I have friends telling me that its better to work smart instead or hard.....

AND

Many a times I have rebutted what they said......

BUT

Sometimes I wonder...could there be any truth in the saying "Better to work Smart instead of working Hard"

I know of a few "guys" that work damn kau smart...they switch on their mobiles at 9.30am and go offline at 6.00pm sharp. They don't give a damn about site emergencies or anything at all for that matter. "Responsibility" is a foreign word to them. Smiling and acting stooopid is like their second nature...but at the end of the year, they are getting the same amount of Bonus, increments, incentives, get to go on company trips like the rest, etc, etc, etc.

There are also a few "guys" that work hard...really hard. The buggers even come to work on Saturdays and Sundays. The word "Public Holidays" is not in their vocabulary. They sacrifice seeing their loved ones, some don't even have a life, some are like sohais, some work because of the money, etc, etc, etc BUT the type that I pity the most are freshies that seems to be getting the short end of the stick and taking the brunt of the shit.

there might be a few factor that contributes to this so called working "condition"...might be because of the Management, the immediate superiors, etc.

BUT

My question remains:

BETTER TO WORK HARD OR WORK SMART? What do you guys think?

Personally, I am seriously contemplating to work SMART and not HARD....

The Lake House

First and foremost let me put in record that I am a Fan of Action, Suspense, Adventure and Sci Fi movies.....but ocassionally a romantic flick will catch my attention....and breath...and...

Caught the show titled "The Lake House" with Keanu Reeves ( Wifey is gaga over this guy, I dunno why ) and Sandra Bullock ( my all time "favouritest" actress..aaarrrgg!! ) some time back. It caught my attention then and it got my attention yesterday when I watched it on HBO ( or StarWorld )....

The reunion of Keanu and Sandra from their Speed days is a freaking gem...they have the chemistry to make the flick click, totally click dude!!!...more so than "Sleepless In Seattle" starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan.

TNS...the storyline was superb...superb I tell you..I will try to just give the gist without spoiling the fun for those who are planning to catch the movie..

Its all about..u guessed it...."LOVE"

Alex ( played by Keanu ) is in the year 2004 and Catie/Kate ( played by Sandra ) resides in the year 2006....and a female dog named "Jack" ( keep your eyes and ears open whenever this dog appears in the movie. There you have it, its about a two year apart love affair....makes sense to you? Btw, did any of you notice the movie poster shows a B&W Keanu with Sandra? Can it be an interpretation of a love affair that might involve the "Flux Capacitor" from "Back to the Future" saga...food for thought huh?

I cannot say more or it WILL ruin the fun of watching or believing in miracles....

I must however say again that the freaking storyline is blardie superb!!!!!!

I rate this as my all time favourite and watchable Romantic flick...and by doing that I must admit that at heart, I am a Romantic freak **sob sob**

Chiangmai 2008

Took a break from my monotonic and mundane schedule for a well planned family vacation. This time its to Chiangmai in the Land Of Smiles from 13th to 16th Sept 2008. Bookings for this trip was done well in advance, 6 months to be exact.....accomodations for 2 rooms for the 4 days 3 nights stay at Centara Duangtawan Hotel was done thru my normal travel agent 3 weeks prior to the trip. Transport arrangements were made thru a friend of mine in Chiangmai...1 luxury 8 seater MPV at a cost of RM300 for the whole trip.

I am happy to say that overall it has been a very enjoyable trip for my family....they enjoyed the shopping, the Elephant Show at Mae Sa Valley, visiting the Long Neck Tribe, the food, the atmosphere, etc, etc, etc...

To blog about the whole trip will consume too much e-space, let my pictures ( got a chance to use my new 12-24mm lens....hehehe ) do all the talking...as they say " A Picture is worth A Thousand Words"...

Dying for Something & Dying for Nothing

A giant ship's engine failed. The ship's owners tried one expert after another, but none of them could figure but how to fix the engine.

Then they brought in an old man who had been fixing ships since he was very young. He carried a large bag of tools with him, and when he arrived, he immediately went to work. He inspected the engine very carefully, form top to bottom and inside out.

Two of the ship's owners were there, watching this man, hoping he would know what to do. After looking things over, the old man reached into his bag and pulled out a small hammer. He gently tapped something. Instantly, the engine lurched into life. He then carefully put his hammer away. The engine was fixed!

A week later, the owners received a bill from the old man for ten thousand dollars.

"What?!" the owners exclaimed. "He hardly did anything!"

So they wrote the old man a note saying, "Please send us an itemized bill."

The man sent a bill that read:

Tapping with a hammer. ............. . $ 2.00
Knowing where to tap.......... $ 9,998.00

*Effort is important, but knowing where to make an effort in your life makes all the difference.*

And its also like my post title..."Dying for Something is always better than Dying for Nothing"....the same applies to our careers and futures as well

BUT

as always, its 2 every1 his/her OWN...............what have you been doing lately? worth it?

You Could Have

Ahmad bin Pendatang and his wife were traveling by car from P.P. to J.B. After almost 4 hours on the road, they found that they were too tired to continue and came to the conclusion to stop for a rest.

They managed to locate a nice hotel for their intended plan which was to rest for 4 hours only before getting back on the road. When they check out four hours later, the desk clerk hands them a bill for RM350..

Ahmad explodes and demands to know why the charge is so high. He tells the clerk although it's a nice hotel, the rooms certainly aren't worth RM350. When the clerk tells him RM350 is the standard rate, the man insists on speaking to the Manager. The Manager appears, listens to Ahamd, and then explains that the hotel has an Olympic sized pool and a huge conference center that were available for their use...

But we didn't use them', Ahmad bin Pendatang complains.

Well, they are here, and you could have,' explains the Manager. He goes on to explain they could have taken in one of the shows for which the hotel is famous for. 'The best entertainers from New York , Hollywood and Las Vegas perform here,' the Manager says.

But we didn't go to any of those shows,' Ahamd complains again. 'Well, we have them, and you could have', the Manager replies. No matter what facility the Manager mentions, Ahmad bin Pendatang replies 'But we didn't use it'.

The Manager is unmoved, and eventually Ahmad bin Pendatang gives up and agrees to pay. He writes a cheque and hands it over to the Manager.

The Manager is surprised 'But sir,' he says, 'this cheque is only made out for $100.' 'That's right,' says Ahmad bin Pendatang, 'I charged you $250 for sleeping with my wife.'

'But I didn't!' exclaims the Manager.

'Well,' Ahamd bin Pandatang replied, 'she was here and you could have.'

Waaaakakakakaka...how low can one go? Normal people I dunno lar but "Baruas" aka Scumbags can go very very very low...WAAAKAKAAKKAKAKAKAKAAKA

Kami la Pendatang

Assamualaikum saudara saudari sekalian....

KNNCCB, statement yang di ucapkan oleh si barua tu menimbulkan ingatan saya kepada satu lagu yang digubahkan oleh Allaryarham Tan Sri P. Ramlee ( btw, he was also from Penang )from the movie "Ali Baba Bujang Lapok"...the song goes like this....

"Kami la penyamun di dalam negeri.....
Kami penyamun, di dalam ini negeri....
Kerja merompak, menciluk dan mencuri...
Tidak memilih mati dan kerbau sabi....
Asalkan boleh kami bawak lari....
Kami penyamun....
Penyamun....."

In light of the recent statement made by the "barua", why don't we change the lyrics a bit...maybe change it to like thus:

"Kami la Pendatang di dalam negeri....
Kami Pendatang, di dlam ini negeri....
Kerja merepek, mencaci dan memaki....
Tidak memilih babi atau babi hutan....
Asalkan boleh kami terus bedal....
Kami Pendatang....
Pendatang....."

Suits us "Pendatang" better right? No need to make KNNCCB statements anymore loh...

Btw, why has not the motherfucker being thrown in ISA? Is he protected by some "Godly" hand?

Further elaborations can be found here at Lim Kit Siang's blog ...read and enjoy your Pendatang status my friends...

Hydro Fuel - Hype or Fact?

Much has been said about the petrol price hike and a lot has also been said about the touted Hydro Fuel System which promises a savings of up to 40-50% of ones petrol consumption.

For report and pics read here , On where to install Hydro Fuel read here

Personally. I find this a better solution that NGV in the sense that one does not need to locate "special" petrol stations for a filling....and the long queue. I cannot imagine asking my wife to queue up for 30 minutes just to refill the NGV tank which in turn will only give about 120-140km per tankful ( depending on the way you drive )....KNN, the way I drive I will only get 50kms on the NGV lar.

Was chatting with some buddies of mine who are in the car modofication/racing sector about Hydro Fuel. Hydro Fuel...what is hydro fuel? how does it work?

Hydro Fuel Sysytem is a process that utilizes Hydrogen Gas in water H2O to supplement the usage of petrol. In theory, it is supposed to create a better burning and a more effective combustion process......

IN SHORT : hydrogen+less fule usage+better combustion process = savings and a cleaner enviroment

A typical set up of the Hydro Fuel is such:

The hydrogen is separated from water by way of electrolisis. A Positive ( + ) and Negative ( - ) charged rod ( sourced from the vehicle's battery unit ) is dipped into the water ( H2O ) to separate the hydrogen from the oxygen.

The Hydrogen is then channelled to the carburator/injector by way of piping which has a connection to the vehicle's vacuum pipe thus allowing the mixture of hydrogen and petrol to give everyone the touted savings.

Just for the heck of it, me and my buddies built a crude but workable hydrofuel unit. The "ingredients" used are as below:

- 1 unit of 2 litre airtight plastic bottle which was inserted in the boot compartment and secured properly
- 2 car lenghts of flexible pipings ( the ones used for aquarium air bubbles )
- 1 check valve/ one way valve
- 1 tee joint to be inserted in the vacuum pipe
- 2 car lenghts of electrical wires. This is for the + and - rods.

The test donkey was my buddy's chief mechanic's 1998 Honda Civic. For the record, the bugger was fucking us like hell...kekekeke. He only agreed after my buddy promised to bear all the cost of repair if his engine blew up ( my buddy owns one of the more famous car modification workshops in Sunway area ).

Our only issue was that we did not have a way to regulate the amount of hydrogen into the vacuum intake....the hydrogen produced by the electrolisis was not that much an amount to create a pressure build up in the plastic tank. We were stumped and ended up by saying "to hell with it lar"

We started the donkey and filled her up with a full tank and passed her back to her owner for his daily use.

This is the result ( not verified by SIRIM or any shit establishment ) after about 2 fillings of petrol:

Before the DIY Hydrofuel : 1km = RM0.35, after the DIY thingy = 1km = RM RM 0.33, resulting in a savings of approx 5%.

It is not known if the above results are true because the results were obtained verbally from the Mechanic only. We also did not have proof as to how much his car was running before the installation. Therefore, it is up to you guys/gals to judge for yourselves how good is the Hydrofuel and will it work at all.

For the records, the commercialized Hydro Fuel System is selling for RM1,300 and RM2,300 ( with some Smart Fuel Saver thingy ) respectively.....use Hydro Fule and still require a smart fuel saver thingy? go figure......kekekekekeke

Hybrids - Proton Persona Electric

KNNCCB!!!! thats my opening statement on the escalated fule prices and what-nots in BolehLand...

I for one do not give a flying f*&k on whatever reasons given by the powers that be in regards to the price hike of petrol...WTF, we are a petrol producing nation btw...and we still have to buy petrol at premium prices? On my last trip to the Middle East, I was informed by the loclas that gasoline cost 6 Dirhams for 6 gallons which is after their price increase, before that it was 3 Dirhams for 6 gallons. FYI, 1 Dirhams is equivalent to RM0.98 and lets presume that the gallons that they are talking about is US Gallons ok...that means 1 US Gallon is equivalent to 3.78 Litres.....do the math and go figure!!!!

I sincerely hope that more and more Hybrids will be introduced in BolehLand's market...at least give a chance for us poor sohais to offset the price hike lar...

Some sources say that Proton is making their move into the Electric market with its Persona...aptly donkey tagged as Proton Persona Electric

Another link to the so called Proton Persona news ( if its true ) is here at this link..

I for one, will gladly welcome such a move by Proton....IF

The Persona can really serve its purpose....IF

The build quality and QA is good...IF

The price tag is reasonable...IF

Spares and After Sales Service are up to the mark...IF

The touted Incentives for hybrids under the 2009 Budget is as real as what is announced..KNN:

EXEMPTION OF 100 PERCENT IMPORT DUTY & 50 PERCENT EXCISE DUTY ON NEW HYBRID CBU CARS, WITH ENGINE CAPACITY BELOW TWO 2,000 CC LITRE TO BE GIVEN TO FRANCHISE IMPORTERS. THE EXEMPTION IS FOR TWO YEARS

Lots of IFs

By the way, anyone of you have any idea on when is the launch? Year 2030?

Forest Research Institut Malaysia ( FRIM )

Went to Forest Research Institut Malaysia ( FRIM ) in Ulu Kepong today...after about 10 odd years of no visit..

My goodness, the place has changed a lot....changed for the better no doubt...

Entrance to FRIM cost RM5 per vehicle and RM1 per person which is used for the upkeep of the area. Must admit that the landscaping is superb and amenities are excellent.

Wanted to go for the Jungle Canopy Walk...a 20 meter high x 200m long walkway located in the Bukit Lagong Forest Reserve but heavy rain put a damper on our plans.

Ended up by taking the family to Sungai Kroh Waterfall for some fun in the rain and a picnic lunch.

Below are some photographs that was taken at the Falls....lighting was poor ( lucky I brought my f2.8 along ) and I forgot to bring my tripod ( must remember next time ) resulting in handheld shots under trying conditions..aaaargg!! therefore, please excuse the quality of the photographs..

I have already planned my next trip there for some picnicking and nature photography.

Today

Today marks a very important Milestone in my life in the sense that I've made a strong commitment about my future, about my life and about what I am going to do to improve it.....

I've talked to Wifey about my plans and what I am planning to accomplish within my own set period...thank God that she is 100% supportive of my decision...

She understands that I have had enough...enough of toiling & suffering, enough of standing by the wayside looking at the world going by, enough of everything....

She knows that I have basically given up on the present situation and that I am just going thru the motions....

I am glad that she understands why I would no longer put so much effort in what I do....because its near pointless

She understands why I no longer want to speak my mind, rant and rave about why, how, what and where....

I sincerely hope for my future's sake that things will work out as what I have planned...and fast because I am at near empty in my "motivation" and "drive" tank.....

The required documentation is ready, ready for the final submission......

There are no bad feelings towards anything or anyone nor will there be any animosity.....because life is life, there are ups and downs....hopefully my "up" time is here with my intended arrangement....

"All The Best" is all I can say.....enough is enough and enough is sometimes just too much...

Till then it will be life as usual without the normal bantering or ass"ing" around..wakakakaka

Watching the "Show"

To tell you guys the truth, there has never been a time in my working life that made me "wash my hands" and watch the "show" from the sidelines...except in this particular instance....

It all started with my company securing a Middle East project....for the sake of blogging, we name this project the BB Project lar.

With that said, I must personally thank the person who sent me there....thank the bugger for giving me the chance to have a personal feel for the project, for the people who are involved, for a feel of the culture, for a feel of the owners, etc. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU...I can never ever say enough of THANK YOUs to this guy.

My personal conclusion is this:

1) This project is doomed for failure because of the incompetency of the person(s) in charge ( blardie pariahs ). The two fuckers know nuts about how to handle a project, know nuts about manpower allocation, know nuts about procedures, know nuts about basis of claims, know nuts about basically everything...and they have the freaking balls to request for the sky and moon.

2) The staff allocation for this project is like fuck. In one of my past projects, we had a 30 strong manpower allocation for a RM40 million project and we were working our balls off to meet the deadline. This project has a value of RM155 and the sohais expect to complete the whole thing with a skeletal staff count of 10 at the max....what a bunch of motherfucking sohais.

3) The two personnel that my company designated for this project also know nuts. As much as I would like to mention their names or even pen down their initial, I can't and will not. I know that a lot of the readers of my blog ( colleagues ) know which two sohais that I am talking about.

One nut job is a motormouth...talks non stop like he is Mr. Know-All but in actual fact he know nuts about the implemented System that we have in place. I will castrate myself if this motherfucker can handle this project on his own effort and not take credit for things that people do....his favourite phrase is exactly like the person who leads this project, which is "I DO FOR YOU WAN" but in actual fact its other people who did it....fucking sonofabitch!!!

Nut job number two is a gangly sonofabitch who also know nuts. The sohai works behind a desk the whole fucking day, won't even go to site if there is any problem, never handled a project before in his miserable life, takes credit for things that people do and acts like Mr. Know-All as well. Needless to say that this sonofabitch is also a useless and worthless bitch.

I for one, will accept any bets from anyone with the odds of 100 to 10 that this project WILL be delayed ( minimum of 9 months ) and WILL LOSE money ( as opposed to the RM14 million that they are targeting to make ). Any takers?

The downside of winning my bets is that my company will end up posting a loss for this project which in turn WILL affect our year end bonuses and increments ( not that passed years records are anything to shout about )...

My stand still remains...."Stand aside and watch the SHOW" and to the motherfuckers that are handling this project ( W,M,S & Z ) FUCK YOU, YOU FUCKHEADS, SHOW US HOW TO DIE AND ROT IN HELL!!!!!!

WAAAAAAAAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAA...what a bunch of morons

And before I forget, let me put this down in writing as proof and record..."If ever I see the motherfucking pariah named Sathis Kumar in Malaysia, I will make it my personal mission to whack the shit out of him" or my name isn't TJ...who knows..maybe I will whack the two sohais from my company as well just for the fun of it...kekekekekeke

Cameron Highlands, 31st August 2008

Took my family to Cameron Highlands on our Independence Day for a little relaxation.

Started the journey at 8.30am from my house and managed to reach Cameron at 11.00am via the new Simpang Pulai highway. Took the new road on the advice of friends but I personally find that the old road from Tapah suit visitors from KL better in the sense that its nearer. One doesn't have to make such a big u-turn from Simpang Pulai just to reach the highlands...my goodness gracious!!

Must admit that Cameron has changed quite a bit since my last visit here 9 years ago...the farm set ups has improved, hygiene has improved, roads and infrastucture has improved but with improvisation comes the downside of commercialization...hais..

Staying & eating here during the holidays is no joke I tell you...

The price of veges and such has also increased like hell BUT it is still cheaper than what we get in KL...and fresher too...

To my surprise, I found out one is required to pay an entrance fee of a few RMs to some of the farms...its not like free entrance of days bygone.

In short, we bought lotsa corn, lotsa veges, strawberries and some "chung chou" ( good for soup making)...took lotsa pictures...had lunch at KEA farm Restaurant, Starbucks at Ringlet. We made our journey home via the old road ( Tapah way ) and reached home at 8.20pm after dinner at Sri Damansara.

All in all, it has been an enjoyable time for me and my family. I am seriously looking forward to our next family vacation at Chaingmai on the 13th September...till then and thanks for reading.

Ice Skating @ Pyramid's

30th August 2008 was a date my two sons got their first ice skating experience. We were there to celebrate Syn Wen's birthday, who is my sons Auntie but they are about the same age...waaakakakaka..

As the occasion was actually tailored for little runts, most of the brood from my wife's side were there with their kids.

After about half an hour of total chaos with entrance lar, shoes lar, food lar and what nots, the skating instructor started the briefing. He had no choice but to start with the basics because most of the participants were 1st timers. the briefing lasted for about 15 minutes before they were all herded into the ice rink.

From there on Games were held before the participants were set free....

Everyone was falling like flies, getting up and falling over again....must admit that the situation warrants some nervousness among the parents but the feeling was soon lost by the antics of the kids ( use your imagination dear readers..kekeke )

All in all everyone had a wonderful albeit a tiring time...

Kudos to Syn Wen's parents for coming up with such a good idea...my heartiest thanks.

Isaac has already asked me when can he go skating again...my promise to him was when I am free and on the condition that I don't go in with him cos I don't want Pyramid's skating rink to be closed for a 2 year repair work should I fall down..waaaakakakakakakakakaka

Budget 2009

Was browsing thru the Star Online to look at whats what in the newly tabled so called for the Rakyat Budget...

hais...dun want to talk about it too much lar....scared kena ISA...maybe kena dragged to court for screwing someone's arse or nostril or something lar.

Below are a few things in the Budget 2009 that caught my eye:

National Energy Plan
Exemption of import duty and sales tax on solar photovoltaic system equipment, import duty and sales tax on intermediate goods such as High Efficiency Motors and insulation materials; sales tax on locally manufactured solar heating system equipment; sales tax on locally manufactured energy efficient consumers goods such as refrigerators, air-conditioners, lightings, fans and televisions; and 100% import duty and 50% excise duty on new hybrid CBU cars, with engine capacity below 2,000 cc, be given to franchise importers. This exemption is given for a period of two years to prepare for the local assembly of such cars. ( local assembled hybrids? sure or not? If a few motoring GIANTS from the Land Of The Rising Sun came and CKD, how sure that PROTONG will not be protected again? )

Improving Public Transportation
The existing LRT system in the Klang Valley will be extended by 30km, that is 15km respectively, for Kelana Jaya and Ampang lines. Upon completion in 2011, the extensions are expected to benefit 2.6 million residents in the Subang Jaya-USJ and Kinrara-Puchong areas, compared with 1.9 million currently. ( just hope that the contract will not be awarded to a half baked company like the "one bridge always got crack wan leh" )

Enhancing Health Services
Excise duty specific on cigarettes increased by three sen from 15 sen per stick to 18 sen per stick. With this, the duty for a 20-stick pack of cigarettes is now increased by 60 sen. ( this one I no give a flying fuck because I smoke DUTY FREE cigs...I have available stock until year 2011 )

Miri & Kota Kinabalu

Went to Miri ( Aug ) and KK ( 26th Aug ) on business. Got home poofed max due to the hectic and tight schedule....I am feeling a bit sick"ish" actually...like a bout of flu or something coming on...sniff sniff

Was not helped by the fact that I sat beside a giggly and fidgety couple on my flight back. They were making a lot of unnecessary noise laughing and giggling for no apparent reason....given my condition, I was contemplating very hard if a super tight slap will help ease the torture of most passengers on board. I ended up deciding to change my seat but luck was not on my side as it was a full flight back to KL. I think one of the main reason for the full flight was the UMS convo a few days before...stragglers were slowly making their way back home after a week of partying themselves silly..

Ended up crawling back to my dreaded seat beside the two morons...arrrrgg! No choice but to endure the torture for another one half hours. Lucky for me, The Person Up there must have felt my frustrations because the plane we were on hit some super air pocket that turned the morons green...WAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAA. I got my bit back by asking them why were they so quite all of a sudden....muuuuhahahahaha. I even told them that the air pockets that we hit was nothing compared to ones that threw people up to the ceiling and sprawling on the deck...my oh my, the look on their faces...WAAAAKAKAKAKAKA...serves the two arseholes right.

Neways, below are some pics that I snapped during my said trip...nothing to shout about because time was soooooo blardie shot..

Hope to go visit the two cities again soon..

Lowepro Fastpack 350

Aiyah....my Fastpack 350 at last went bust after a gruelling trip to Siem Reap with a few good buddies of mine..

Luckily for me, Lowepro has a lifetime warranty pegged on its products or there goes my RM400++ down the drain. With the warranty in mind, I sent my Fastpack back to the supplier Shong Lee Photo at 1 Utama post haste for the claim and they told me that I have to wait a minimum of 45 days as the bag will have to be sent back to Lowepro ( US ) for a one to one exchange program.

The problem area was at the zipper area...freaking thing just popped out for no apparent reason. On closer inspection, I found out that it was due to a manufacturing defect....the seams were not sewn together properly causing the zip runners to be dislodged...KNN.

After a lot and a lot and a lot of deliberation ( and calculation ), I went and got me another Fastpack 350 because of the upcoming trips that I had lined up in front of me. No way in hell was I going to lug my gear around in a Lowepro 190 AW

OR

the other alternative was not taking my cam with me...arrrrggg!! ( to me, this is not an option )

SO

Out went RM400++ from my wallet ( again ) and in came another Fastpack. I was darn lucky that Wifey understood or my ears will be ringing for 2 weeks...kekekekeeke ( thanks Wifey ).

Neway, I intend to sell the other Fastpack when it comes back from Lowepro US....maybe can push it off ( with a bit of discount ) to my cousin, Bernie or Toh...or at eBay, which is my last resort because its quite a blardie hassle with postage, insurance and what nots...

The Pork Seller

There is a pork seller in my housing area whose name is Bodowee....

Initially he seemed a good and kind soul but things changed after his daughter got married to a gay...er..guy by the name of Gay Jay.

Poor Bodowee was like a puppet on a string...his pork stall was poorly managed, business suffered and the stooopid sonofabitch lost his popularity among his clients.

One of the sohai things that he did was to raise the price of pork by 70 cents to RM2.70 per kg ( fuck JE he said )...he explain that he had to do it because of the rising cost of sharpening his pork cleaver. Lots of fellow marketers were not amused by this blatant increase in price but they did not say anything because Bodowee was quite a powerful person it seems. Stories were circulating on how a complainant was "framed" for something he didn't do.....nothing was heard or seen of the person after the incident. The poor guy aka sohai was framed for putting a pig's head up his arse...imagine that!!!

Neways, Bodowee listened to the advise of Gay Jay to reduce the price of pork...Gay Jay said to do this on a momentary basis in order to reduce the dissent of marketers. The price was then reduced by 15 cents to RM2.55 but people were talking among themselves...they were asking how the fuck a 15 cent decrease will help? They asked if Bodowee thinks that the people in general were "Bodoh/Sohais"....the damage has been done..no one trust Bodowee anymore...his stall has been boycotted...and they are just waiting for him to fuck off or die.

Such a sad story huh? so sad...so fucking sad....

Btw, any resemblance to persons dead or alive is purely unintentional...the author sincerely thinks that no motherfucking bastard will associate him/herself with such a stooopid name like Bodowee and Gay Jay..thats why he chose these names.

Been itching to get the Tokina 11-16mm ultra wide angle lense for quite some time now....arrrg! The beauty cost just around the region of RM2k +/-.......

So what is stopping me you ask? errrrr...my Wifey loh...its not that she is against my hobby or anything loh...please believe me when I say that my Wifey is 110% supportive...I predict her negative reaction will be basically due to the fact that I've just spent about RM1.5k on a 24-70mm f2.8 lense a few weeks back..ooops..

AND

not to mention the RM450 that I spent on a Lowepro Fastpack 350 ( another one ) because my old Fastpack 350 got sent back to USA for warranty claim ( one to one exchange ) and won't be back for another 45 days. 3) And about the sohai called "W"...I rest my case with this gangly arsehole...God Save The Queen!!!

Now about Project B
This is one project where I will bust my balls to ensure that the monetary part will be smooth and without any hitches. There's basically nothing more that can be said that can't be proven in due course.....till then....I gotta go watch my favourite TV show "House" now.....bloody Hugh Laurie is freaking hilarious as Dr. House...WAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

Finally went out and got me a dry cabinet for my photography equipment. Wanted to get the Digicabi brand but sold out at the few places that I went to. Eventually settled for the Aipo as I did not want to wait for the Digicabi stocks to arrive.

The 38L capacity is just ok for storing my equipment ( maybe some space left for 1 or 2 lenses...kekeke ).

It has a hygrometer for humidity control but I dunno how accurate it is...what the heck la, if it works then ok loh...better than spending unnecessary buckos to clean my lenses after a fungal attack right?
